"With Cantarelli the 'Angels' Really Sing.
Tremendous success in Vigolo Marchese by the soloist
with his Millennium Choir & Guests"

If the concert's title was "Let Me Sing With The Angels," the final warm and long applause by the audience certainly underlined the fact that the "angels" did really sing. There has never been such a successful event in the Romanic temple of Vigolo Marchese where, the other night, took place the exciting performance by Beppe Cantarelli (as a composer, tenor-rock-and-soul singer, and director), his Millennium Choir, soprano & jazz singer Giovanna Gattuso, soprano Silvia Zanardi, soprano Maryam Najasi and the String Orchestra directed by celloist & concert-master Irina Martinova. And we must say that this musical and artistic event at Vigolo Marchese came together almost by mistake after a casual meeting of a few friends and Busseto's ex-citizens such as Beppe Cantarelli on one hand, and husband and wife Mauro Perazzi and Daniela Rastelli, on the other hand. Perhaps, it did come together within a few weeks after that meeting. "When I first visited the church with my sound engineers and collaborators in order to verify the technical requirements and logistic for my upcoming concert in such a location - confessed the maestro - I was literally blown away by the beauty of such an architecture. And its Baptistry is only second to the famous one in Ravenna." "A Romanic temple that has survived the centuries and that has been maintained in such a wonderful shape, and with an antique wood ceiling that gives a great resonance, contained and well balanced, like in a recording studio." And it has been mostly because of this reason, from what we have gathered, that Beppe Cantarelli decided to take in the most important town within the Castell'Arquato County his concert with the Millennium Choir (that he founded at the end of the second millennium) & Guests; concert that has already gained tremendous and exciting notoriety in Rome, in the Vatican, and more recently in the Fidenza's Cathedral, in Parma's Cathedral, in Cremona's Cathedral, as well as in the Piacenza's Cathedral, but never before in a such a small and historical town. The choral ensemble, that can potentially count on over one thousand members in Italy and in the U.S., and that has performed in the Piacenza County, was made of over 40 singers with vocalists coming from choirs from Turin, Fidenza, Pontedell'Olio, and with free-lancers from Florence and Cremona. The strings ensemble that accompanied the various performances (5 violins and two violas) was conducted by cellist Irina Martinova who, during the concert, also performed in a duet with Beppe Cantarelli. The intense program (all together almost 2 hours of music and lyrics written and composed by Beppe Cantarelli) featured "Sanctus," "Tu Che Parli Con Gli Angeli / You Who Speak With The Angels," "Panis Angelicus / Bread Of The Angels," "Padre, E' Giunta L'Ora / Father, The Hour Has Come," "Benedizione / Blessing," "Kyrie," "Eternity," "Magnificat / My Soul Exalts," "Noi Liberamente Persi / Lost Of Our Own Free Will," "Pater Noster / Our Father," "Fammi Cantare Con Gli Angeli / Let Me Sing With The Angels," "Ave Maria, Mai Più La Guerra / Hail Mary, Let There Be No More War."
