"A Magnificat rich of emotions"

THE ORIGINAL VERSION

BUSSETO - Extraordinary success of Beppe Cantarelli with his "Magnificat Recital" premiered in Italy during the celebrations of the Immacolate Mary at the historical monastery of Saint Mary of The Angels in Busseto.
The XVth Century Franciscan church was literally crowded in occasion of this "premiere" that Beppe Cantarelli, a native of Busseto who lives in the United States of America for over 20 years but who always has a special relationship with his hometown, expressely desired to perform in the city that he still considers "his" city and that is also the land of worldwide famous musicians of which he is now part of, with full merit.
Many celebrities have participated to this concert-event, such as Monsignor Romeo Panciroli from the Vatican, ex "Nunzio Apostolico" in Teheran with Pope Paul VI and now part of the Diplomatic Department, and "Italian icon" pop-singer Orietta Berti (both long time friends of Cantarelli); Fidenza's bishop Monsignor Maurizio Galli; Busseto's mayor Luca Laurini; parish priests Monsignor Stefano Bolzoni and Father Tarcisio Bolzoni; the rector of the Monastery of Saint Mary of The Angels, Father Manuel Vasquez; the rector of Fidenza's Seminary and parish priest at Saint Vitale in Salsomaggiore, Monsignor Piergiacomo Bolzoni; the parish priest of Frescarolo and Spigarolo, Father Albino Buzzetti; the music director of the Sanctuary of Fontanellato, Father Giuliano Naldi, along with several other representatives of the Dominican Friars of the same Sanctuary; the parish priest of the Saint Peter Church in Cremona, Monsignor Attilio Arcagni; presidents and representatives of many local associacions and organizations.
After the initial introduction by Father Manuel, the concert has entered its full pace with a Cantarelli who performed, one into the other and accompanied by his faithful and ever-present acoustic guitar, compositions from his vaste repertoire such as: "Magnificat," "Save Me," "You Who Speak To The Angels," "There's A Time," "The Blessing," "Show Me The Way," "Hail Mary, Let There Be No More War," " Without You I'd Be Blind," "Fly To Heaven My Canto," "Moon, Don't Say A Thing," "We'll Always Be Free," "Father, The Hour Has Come" and "Listen To Your Soul." One hour of exhalting and "big time" music for an evening of deep prayer and meditation that culminated with an endless and very warm applause from the hundreds of people who participated and filled up the sacre location, and who wanted to genuinely thank a simply "superlative" Cantarelli.

The same memorable evening, so rich with emotions, terminated with an "Our Father" once again composed by Beppe Cantarelli, followed by the final blessing by Bishop Monsignor Galli. At the very end the famous Italian-American musician has received the special love and affection of the people, signing numerous authographs and posing for photos and home videos. And this has been only the first of a series of recitals scheduled for the next weeks. Saturday, December 13 at 9pm, Cantarelli will be at the Cistercian Abbey of "Chiaravalle della Colomba" (Piacenza) where he will perform his Christmas recital "While The Silence"; December 20 at the Saint Peter Church in Cremona where he will performed once again his "Magnificat Recital," while on December 23 he will be back in our county where he will perform his "Listen To Your Soul" Recital at the Magnani Theatre in Fidenza. At last, on December 29, at the Sanctuary of the "Madonna del Divino Amore" in Rome, Beppe Cantarelli will be once again performing his "Magnificat Recital."
